Terms of service
The service
Vicem is provided by Devotel. A Vicem is an AI that answers calls, emails and messages for one person and acts within limits that person sets. These terms cover the vicem.ai website, the waitlist and the Vicem service.
One person, one Vicem
A Vicem answers for one individual. You may not use it to speak for another person, a group or an organisation, or share it with anyone else.
It is always an AI
Your Vicem tells everyone it talks to, in its first sentence, that it is an AI and that the conversation is transcribed. You may not try to remove, alter or get around this, or use your Vicem to pretend to be a human.
Your responsibilities
- You decide what your Vicem may share, agree to and do. Check the limits you set; your Vicem acts on them.
- Make sure you are allowed to have calls to your numbers answered and transcribed by an AI where you and your callers are.
- Don’t use Vicem for unlawful, abusive or deceptive purposes, including unsolicited marketing, harassment or fraud.
Numbers and carriers
Numbers provided by Vicem are assigned to you while your account is active and in good standing. If you connect a number from your own carrier, that carrier’s terms also apply.
Waitlist
Joining the waitlist doesn’t guarantee an invite or a particular vicem.ai name. We may remove entries created automatically or in bulk, and referrals from them don’t count.
Payment
Free for 14 days. Add a card by day 7; nothing is charged before day 14. Prices and billing terms are shown in the app before you are asked to pay.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Vicem available and accurate, but it can make mistakes and may be unavailable at times. Don’t rely on it for emergencies: it does not contact emergency services. To the extent the law allows, Devotel’s liability is limited as described in the final version of these terms.
Changes and contact
We will tell you about material changes before they take effect. Questions go to hello@vicem.ai.
