Questions
Call forwardingHow do I send the calls I miss to my Vicem?
Open Settings › Call forwarding in the app. It finds your carrier and gives you the exact code to dial, with your Vicem number already filled in.
AT&T, T-Mobile, Mint, Metro, Cricket, Boost, Consumer Cellular and most other GSM networks: dial **004*, your Vicem number, then #. It forwards calls you decline, miss, or get while busy or out of signal. Dial ##004# to turn it off.
Verizon, Visible, Xfinity Mobile and Spectrum Mobile: dial *71 followed by your Vicem number. Dial *73 to turn it off.
Google Fi: open the Fi app › Phone settings › Call forwarding and add your Vicem number.
EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three (UK): dial **004*, your Vicem number with +44, then #. If your network rejects the code, set divert in your phone under Settings › Phone › Call forwarding.
Then tap “Test it”: your Vicem calls your phone, you decline, and your Vicem should answer.
My Vicem didn’t answerWhy didn’t my Vicem answer?
Check the status card at the top of Settings first. The usual reasons:
Forwarding is off or your carrier rejected the code. Run “Test it” in Settings › Call forwarding.
Pause is on. Your Vicem then takes messages only.
Your minutes ran out and the hard cap is on. It still takes a message; it just doesn’t talk past your plan.
The caller is marked as spam or calls very often. Vicem plays one short line and hangs up on numbers you marked, and limits repeat callers.
If none of these fit, use Report a problem in the app. It can attach your last few conversations so we can see what happened.
TextsCan people text my Vicem number?
Not yet. Your Vicem number takes calls; texts sent to it are not received today. Ask people to call it, or to leave a note on your vicem.ai page.
Vicem never texts or calls back a number it hasn’t verified. Replies to callers go by email, and only to an address they read back and confirmed.
BillingHow does billing work?
Vicem is $24 a month, or $19 a month billed yearly. Vicem Plus is $49 a month, or $39 a month billed yearly. Keeping your own carrier number takes $4 a month off either plan.
Every plan starts with a 14-day trial. You can start without a card; Vicem asks for one before the trial ends.
Cancel any time in Settings › Plan. It takes effect at the end of what you already paid for, and your Vicem number is held for 30 days in case you come back.
My accountHow do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings › Delete account. Download your data first if you want a copy (Settings › Download your data).
You confirm by typing your handle, and you may be asked to sign in again. Your Vicem stops answering at once and your subscription is canceled.
You have 7 days to change your mind: tap Undo on the same screen. After that your number is released and your public page, memory, voice recognition, transcripts, messages and sign-in are deleted for good.
Your Ledger keeps only a sealed note that each record existed. What they said is erased and can’t be read by anyone, including us.
My accountI lost my phone. How do I sign it out?
Sign in on another device and open Settings › Devices. Sign out the lost phone, or choose “Sign out everywhere”, which stops notifications to every other device and makes each one sign in again.
You get a notification and an Inbox notice whenever someone signs in to your account, so a sign-in you don’t recognize is easy to spot.
