What do people ask?

What is the best spam call blocker app for Android?

It depends on what you need. To stop known spam numbers, turn on the Phone app’s spam filter and your phone company’s free filter first; the apps here add more blocking or screening. To have the calls you miss answered, see Vicem.

Is it worth paying for a spam blocker app?

Start with the free filters: they stop many known spam numbers. A paid app adds features such as more blocking or screening; the table shows each published price. None stops every call: the FTC says “not all scam calls will get flagged.”

Do I still need a spam app if my Android phone filters spam?

Keep the free filter on either way. Vicem answers the calls that still get through, talks with the caller and sends you a short summary.

Does Vicem say it’s an AI?

Yes: every call starts by saying it’s an AI.

In their own words.
