Register your number with Profeco’s free REPEP to stop sales calls within 30 days, and use CONDUSEF’s REUS for calls from banks. If a call threatens you or a relative, hang up and report it to 089, the national line for extortion.

How do I stop sales calls in Mexico?
REPEP (Registro Público para Evitar Publicidad) is Profeco’s free list to stop sales calls and texts.

- Don’t pay a “kidnapper” before you’ve called your relative.
- Don’t say names of family members: callers fish for them.
- Don’t read out a code from a text message.
