How do I test that Vicem answers my missed calls?
In the app, open Settings › Call forwarding and tap Call me to test. Vicem calls your phone. Don’t answer: let it ring or tap decline. If forwarding works, the call comes back to Vicem and the app says so.
Checked on
Run the test
Open Settings › Call forwarding and tap Call me to test.
When your phone rings, don’t answer. Let it ring, or tap decline.
Tip: If you answer, the call can’t forward, and the test can’t tell.
Wait for the result. “Forwarding works” means calls you miss now reach Vicem.
If the test says something else
“The call was answered”: you, or your phone company’s voicemail, picked up. Try again without answering. If voicemail keeps picking up, see calls not forwarding.
“The test call didn’t come back to Vicem”: check that your phone showed a confirmation after you dialed the code, then test again.
Limits
You get 5 test calls a day, one at a time. Test calls work for US phones for now. On another phone, ask someone to call you and decline the call: your Vicem should answer.
Phone companies sometimes turn forwarding off, for example after a plan change. If Vicem hasn’t seen a forwarded call or a passed test in 7 days, the app asks you to test again.
