HelpSet up

How do I send the calls I miss to Vicem?

Keep your number and turn on call forwarding to your Vicem number. Open Settings › Call forwarding in the Vicem app: it finds your phone company and shows the exact code to dial, with your Vicem number filled in.

Checked on

Set it up in four steps

  1. Open the Vicem app and tap Settings, then Call forwarding.

  2. Enter the mobile number you carry and tap Use this number. Vicem works out your phone company.

Tip: This is the phone Vicem calls once to test forwarding.

  3. Dial the code the app shows. On an iPhone, tap Copy code, open the Phone app, tap Keypad, paste and call. On Android, tap Call this code now.

Tip: iPhones don’t dial codes with * or # from a link, so you paste it.

  4. Wait for the confirmation on your screen, then tap Call me to test.

Tip: Android may ask you to confirm the change. Tap OK.

What gets forwarded

Calls you decline, calls you don’t answer, and calls that come in while your phone is off or has no signal. Calls you answer still ring as normal.

Verizon, Visible, Xfinity Mobile and Spectrum Mobile use a different code from the other phone companies, and Google Fi can’t forward only the calls you miss, so on Fi you give out a new Vicem number instead. The app picks the right one. To look up a code yourself, use the forwarding code finder.

Do I have to change my number?

No. You keep your number and forward the calls you miss to your Vicem. If you want a separate number to give out instead, you can get one during setup.
