Rogers says conditional forwarding (busy, no reply, not reachable) won’t work while voicemail is activated on your line.

Rogers lists codes to pause a forward without losing the number: #61# pauses forwarding of unanswered calls and *61# brings it back. The same goes for 21 (every call), 67 (busy) and 62 (not reachable).

To change the number your calls go to, Rogers says to cancel the forward first (##21#, ##67#, ##61# or ##62#), then set it again with the new 10-digit number.

How to forward calls on Rogers
- Choose which calls. Every call: **21*, then the 10-digit number (or + and the country code for a number abroad), then #. Only the calls you miss: **004*, then the number, then #.
- Dial the code. Open the Phone app, type the code on the keypad and press call.
- Wait for the confirmation. Your phone shows a message or plays a tone. Then end the call.
- Test it. Call your phone from another phone. The call should ring at the other number.
What it costs, and what to know
Rogers counts a call forwarded to a number in Canada like a call you make: it uses your plan’s minutes.
Ask Rogers whether forwarding abroad is charged.
Turning it off
Dial ##004# and press call to turn off forwarding of missed calls, or ##002# to turn off every forward, the every-call one too. Calls ring your phone again. If voicemail stops answering, set it up again in your phone’s voicemail settings. Turning off forwarding on Rogers, step by step.
Calls not forwarding?
- Check the number: include the area code, and + with the country code for a number abroad.
- Look for the confirmation after you dial. An error usually means your plan doesn’t include forwarding: ask Rogers to turn it on.
- Turn off Voicemail first: it answers before Rogers can forward a missed call.
- On iPhone, turn off Live Voicemail (Settings › Apps › Phone › Live Voicemail): it answers missed calls on the phone, so they never forward.
- On a Pixel or Galaxy, set call screening to spam calls only: screening every unknown caller answers before the call can forward.
- If your voicemail still answers first, dial the no-answer code with a ring time of 20 seconds: **61*, then the number, then **20#.
- Forwarding every call overrides the missed-call codes. Turn it off with ##21# to get them back.
- If the code is rejected, turn off voicemail forwarding and dial again.
