Call forwarding codes in India, for every network
On Airtel, Vi and BSNL, dial **004*, then +1 and your 10-digit Vicem number, then #, and press call to forward the calls you decline, miss or can’t take. Jio uses its own codes: *405 when busy, *403 when you don’t answer and *409 when your phone is off, each followed by your Vicem number.
Vicem numbers are US numbers for now, so forwarding from India sends calls to a US number. Your phone company may charge extra for that: check with them before you turn it on.
What do I dial on Airtel?
| When | Dial |
|---|---|
| When you decline or are on a call | **67*+1 Vicem number# |
| When you don’t answer | **61*+1 Vicem number**20# |
| When your phone is off or has no signal | **62*+1 Vicem number# |
| All three at once | **004*+1 Vicem number# |
| Turn it off | ##004# |
- If your network rejects that code, dial the three codes below one at a time instead.
- If your voicemail answers before Vicem, also dial the “don’t answer” code: it gives you 20 seconds, then Vicem picks up.

|---|---|
| When you decline or are on a call | *405*+1 Vicem number |
| When you don’t answer | *403*+1 Vicem number |
| When your phone is off or has no signal | *409*+1 Vicem number |
| All three at once | No single code: dial the three codes above, one at a time. |
| Turn it off | *413 |
- If Jio rejects the code, forwarding to a number outside India may not be on your plan: ask Jio, or set it in your phone’s Call forwarding settings.
- On Jio, dial all three codes so missed and unreachable calls come too.
