Which code turns off what
| Forwarding of | Dial |
|---|---|
| Calls I miss: declined or unanswered | *73 |
| Every call | *73 |
| When I’m busy or decline | *73 |
| When I don’t answer | *73 |
| Everything at once | *73 |
Step by step
- Open the keypad. Open the Phone app and tap Keypad.
- Dial the code. Type *73 and press call.
- Wait for the confirmation. Your phone shows that forwarding is off. End the call.
- Test it. Call your phone from another phone. It should ring.
Calls still forwarding?
- Dial the code on the phone that is forwarding, not on another phone.
- On iPhone, check that Settings › Apps › Phone › Call Forwarding is off too.
- On Android, open the Phone app’s Settings › Calls › Call forwarding and check every option says off.
- An app that set up forwarding for you may turn it back on: turn it off in that app as well.
Want to turn it back on later? On Verizon, dial *72, then the 10-digit number (or 011 and the full number for a number abroad) to forward every call, or *71, then the number to forward only the calls you decline or don’t answer. Dial *73 to turn it off.
